Shelagh MacGhillie Mhurrie Morrison Dracmor -
Protegee of Mac G, The Pink and Green Plaid Dragon

Representing herself as a daughter of a town burgher from the Low Countries, she managed to enter into a  marriage with a very wealthy ex-patriated Genoese shipping merchant, who eventually was knighted by Elizabeth I of England.  Thus, she became known as ANNA HOOFTMAN Lady Palavicino.  Surviving her husband, she cleverly enlisted aide and protection at Court and was able to obtain sole inheritance of the fabulous Palavicino fortune.  She later married for power, becoming the wife to Oliver Cromwell, uncle for whom the Lord Protector and dictator of England was named.

Sir Horatio Palavicino -
Sept to Dracmor, our rich relative from Italia

Born in Genoa of a noble mercantile house.  When his family crossed financial swords with the Papacy, and his brother was captured and tortured, Horatio became a declared Protestant and fled to England, where he became a financial supporter of the Crown, was naturalized, and eventually knighted. He became one of England's noted shipping magnates, obtained the monopoly of alum (used in dying and processing wool and tanning); principal financier, and a courtier to Elizabeth I.  Through his frequent travels, contacts and placement of agents in French and Spanish ports, he naturally gravitated to the role of secret agent, spy-master, and Englysh ambassador to the German Protestant lands.  Even though his money was the principal means of building the English navy, his commoner status denied him command of a ship against the Armada.  He served without distinction as a gentleman volunteer aboard one of his own vessels. Crossing the Queen! in an attempt to gain a monopoly on maize from the new world, he was banished from court and retired to Babraham Hall in Cambridgeshire.  His morals were most un-Puritan like, having been referred to as a scalawag, reprobate, philanderer, letch, debauchee, rapscallion, sycophant, and a practitioner of the fetish of deflowering virgins.  Rich, but you wouldn't want your daughter (or wife, or mother-in-law, or Sister Mary Margaret Dracmor, the nun) to get within a country mile of him.

Kaliegh Chatton Dracmor

So, come here closer to me by the bar, take a comfortable seat, let me fill your mug right to the top, and I'll tell you just how I arrived here at Bristol, So the name given to be at birth was Aurora Marie Le Mon, My place of birth was outside of Niece France, and my age...WAIT, no lady ever gives her true age!( In other words this is one of those missing details) My father is Lord William Stephen Le Mon, he is a some what wealthy land owner in France, he runs a manor home there and is involved with some trading of goods between our beloved France and England. He is of French and English descent. My mother's name is Jocelyn Ann, she is from Prussian, decent, and her Family's name is Trotz. I was raised in an upper middle class family in my parent's manor home, in France. I have one sibling, a sister. She is 5 years my junior. Her name is Natalie Ann she is married to a fine gentleman, his name is Matthew and his family's name is Bruce. My sister and me had a very happy childhood. I was fortunate enough to of been granted the opportunity to have been taught to read and write and also taught some basic math skills. My mother was very firm on educating her daughters! As a young child I was given a flute by my Grandfather on my fathers side. My grandfather played many musical instruments. I still carry this flute with me today as it is all I have left of my grandfather. It was much to the disappointment to my parents that I never learned to play, but I did learn to master the flute as an adult, but more about that later! When I was about 13 my grandfather on my fathers side grew ill. I was sent to England, to help with their Abbey. I never wished to leave my home, but my parents sent me anyway and I so badly wish to return back to my beloved home in France. When I arrived in England I realized why my parents insisted I go. The abbey had fallen into great dismay. My mother had taught me how to keep books for such a large home so I went straight to work. After some time I realized that I would have to let the repairs to the Abbey go along with most of the staff. My father would send money but so much was needed to return the Abbey back to it's full granger. Shortly after I turned 18 my grandfather passed away and it was up to me to run the house. My grandmother just lost her will to live and pasted away 2 days after him! I was left all alone in a country not of my own no family there with me I was very frightened. When the taxes came due I couldn't make the payment! My pride keep me from asking my father for more money, so I did the only thing I could, I took a servants position in an other neighboring abbey.
The family was the Gamwiches of the Bree Gamwiches, a very wealthy family. I was treated very poorly because my family was not as wealthy as theirs. It was while serving in their home, that I captured the attention of their oldest grandson, Barrington. Much to the disappointment of his family, who truly believed I was a stupid senseless girl, only after their Family fortune and lands. Which now looking back would stand to be true! I learned quickly to keep quite, work hard and try and be as good as possible. Their grandson Barrington, however won over his grandparents permission overtime, and a wedding date was set. Although I did not love him I knew that my grandmother's Abbey the Webb Abbey would be finally be restored. As it would surely be apart of my dowry! So even though I did not love this man at least I would have completed the task sent me to England in the beginning. I was glad that I had not disappointed my family. The Abbey would be safe and restored to its original granger! So it was there after that I would be called Aurora Marie Gamwich of the Bree Gamwiches. Two weeks before my wedding date, my future bother in law was killed in an accident. This left Barrington, as the sole heir to the family fortune. It then became my sole responsibility to provide them with a male heir! So I tried, and tried, and tried again, months pasted so did the years, but no child was I blessed with. So it was decided that another should give him the needed heir. With my heart broken I became very bitter. Especially when it was decided that my own cousin was chosen to bring forth the child! Since I was unable to produce the desired heir, my treatment only became harsher. Barely tolerated in the home, my marriage a farce, I became the account for the home and tried to keep out of everyone's way.
Time passed painfully slow. Then one day a grand party was to be held. People came from many lands, to celebrate the birth of the child. I was ashamed and heart broken. I decided to make my plans to escape! The night before the party many people were scurrying around with last minute preparations. I figured this was my chance! My parents had come to the party with some of their guards, so I stole one of the uniforms of the guards, dressed as a man I escaped into the woods. I ran for days and days. Finally I collapsed from sure exhaustion! I was cold hungry and so tired, but I was FREE! When I awoke I realized I was lost. For many days I wandered the woods. I was never taught to hunt the only weapon I had was the saber from the soldier's uniform I had stolen. I ate berries, and nuts and anything else I could find. Most made me ill and very weak. I finally managed to capture an old fox and it is his tail I wear on my belt still to this day! I believe that it was from the heavens that this creature was sent to save me, or I would have starved to death! I believe since it's meat saved my life that it's soul is apart of me forever more! This is why I have become so secretive and sly, perhaps this is why I seldom trust anyone!
I eventually found my way to a small port town. I found work in a "Pub" there. I helped with the book keeping during the day and served ale and wine at night. It was while I worked there that I learned many "skills" most of which I am not proud of, but a female must due what she can to survive! At least I was free, and I chose who I spent my time with. I soon realized that to make sure I wasn't tracked down I would have to change my name once again! So I took the name of Kaleigh (which means to party) Chattan (which is the clan of cats). So I borrowed Scottish heritage, became Kaliegh Chattan -ale wench during the day and Lady Fanta-Z when I was with my male companions. So time passed mugs were kept full, men came and went! ( no pun intended, oh yes there is)!
Then one day a strong tall man came into the pub. He was unlike most of the patrons there. He was quite and kept to himself. I thought at first that he might be someone that the Gamwiches had sent to take me back! He told me of his many travels and adventures, and over time we became true friends. His name is Lord Robert Savant. We would talk for hours, and he would never pass judgment on me. He seem to just accept me for who I am! I soon quit taking gentleman visitors, and he became my only male companion. I believe I have finally found true love at last, and he has promised to take me with him on his future adventures.
So we have now arrived here in Bristol, but what if he ever finds out of my past? Or was he sent here to take me back to the Gamwich Manor?
This is where my story ends... Hey, are you still awake? (Shaking your shoulder)

Chastity Belte

Briefly, my story is that I murdered my *s*o*b* husband. As my home, Greenhalgh Castle, is not far from the Scottish border in Lancashire, England, I have fled to Clan Dracmor for help in retaining my lands and to safely hide from the revengeful English

Maggie MacLaren Reid Dracmor & Charles Reid Dracmor

I am Maggie MacLaren Reid Dracmor; he is Charles Reid Dracmor.  Originally from a little town called Bonnie Rigg, I disguised myself as a boy in order to go a sailin'.  Twas during those adventurous years that I met Charles.  Eventually the Captain figured out that his powder monkey was a lass and set me ashore at Peterhead.  Charles chose to stay with me and with the money we'd earned and saved we managed to buy ourselves a little bit of a caravel and called her the "Wandering Mary."  We do small shipping business out of Peterhead, mostly with Sweden; and the occasional "salvage" if ya get my meanin'.  And every now and then we like to "dress fine" and enjoy the company of our clansmen (and ladies).

Grace O'Malley

Well, I am Grace O'Malley.  I am the pirate queen of Ireland.  It seems no more than natural that I would be part of the clan.  We all work together to stop the English government from ruining our lives, which at this moment in time, they really are hell-bent on taking over the world.  It is my job, as the pirate queen, to keep the English at bay and accountable for their actions against our people.  This means sinking ships and looting the English every chance I get.  There is more to the story of course, but I am too tired to go on.  I will write more later after I nap.  Being a pirate is very hard work, but it is good to be the queen.

Leah Olivia Taliaferro-

I am the daughter of a printer/bookbinder who is unusually educated for her sex and station.  I am also skilled with thread and yarn and am frequently found with a basket of handwork and needles.   As far as my reasons for hiding from the Queen, let's just say I couldn't part with a beautiful tome my father had made for her.

Bonny L. MacGregor-

I am currently known as Bonny Lass MacGregor, though I came into this world as Meggie MacLea, daughter of Brian Og MacLea (a local musician and tinker). I have been a citizen of Bristol for most of my life. I have been a wench, a merchant and a pirate, though some may think those last two redundant. As a pirate, I was known as Meggs LaRue, bosun's mate of the Dred Pirate Ship Firewalker. I was married to Findlay MacGregor who, as the bosun of that same ship,  was known as Legs LaRue. Alas, my pirating days are over, as is my tie to the MacGregor clan.  Though I still consider a few of the MacGregors to be friends.

A few years ago, I met the chieftain of Clan Dracmor and was welcomed into this clan with open arms. I am grateful that I have someplace to call home…again.
Due to a scoundrel who wandered in and then out of my life,  I am now mother to a daughter named Alanna.
I pray that the Queen has finally forgiven my acts of piracy and is no longer looking for me so that I might live a peaceful life with my daughter.

Deacon Dracmor-

On the day that I took that first painful breath and was wretched from my mothers’ womb, I have been known as Armand. I was born into royalty. All that lived around our great and mighty castle loved my father, Over Lord Patrick. Castle Vallot was never challenged. My father was a kind and gentle man who loved and cherished his family and all who dwelled within the castle walls. My father’s vast army protected even those poor farmers who, even though they lived outside the castle, promised their lives to serve his Majesty.  The only reason to fear such a loving and giving lord was to cross one line. That if any hair on any one of his family’s heads was to be harmed; the offender was executed publicly and in quite the most distasteful way. He was very fair on all his judicial decisions and not one living amongst us had ever thought him wrong or unjust.

As was our custom in that part of the land, my wedding was prearranged before my conception was even to have taken place. My father and his most favored friend and alloy, Over Lord Loquist, had made a pact that the first born lad and the first born lass from either kin would be married on the lads 16 birth date. I was expelled on the 5th day of the month of August. Loquist had a daughter Jane; she was released from her mother’s chamber two months and a day later. She was a stunning and most charming lass, and we had wonderful times together. We played and frolicked and did not have a care in the world. Our predetermined wedding was unknown to us. So the years have passed and we, having been only the best of friends, held no secrets from one another. She had found her soul mate, a lass named Ameril, she was the maiden in charge of the house servants. And I had found my soul mate, Chase, in the stables where my father hired the strongest and most handsome stable men to keep the horses cleaned, fed and in the ready for battle at anytime.

Jane’s father, Over Lord Loquist, on the other hand, had one other law he upheld in his land. This was the only thing that our two fathers disagreed on. The law was one that struck fear into many of his towns folk and the court alike. Being a religious man, buggery was punishable by the same means as previously eluded by. Only this time the offenders’ were tortured before the angle of death would come. This would include the immediate kin of the degenerate.

You can see my problem coming. So on the day of my 15th birth date I was informed of how my life was to be lived and it was already planned and set into motion. The castle that I was to be Over Lord of was being built adjacent to the other two forming a monumental triangle of land. When I was freed to go about my daily wanderings with Jane you can only imagine the horror I felt inside telling her that the lives we had been living were in mortal danger. We knew that someday we would have to make a run for our lives but now we had the date of not our wedding but more or less our execution. Jane, knowing her fathers anger and hatred of our alternative lives would stop at nothing of bestowing the same punishments upon us as any of the other common folk. Our only hope was to run. But just having found this out we were totally unprepared and would need some help in planning our escape.

She ran to her soul mate and I ran to mine. We each told them of the fate that was to befall us.  Chase was overcome with grief. He vowed that he would never let anything happen to my beloved Jane or me.  Chase and I knew we could also tell my father of our secretive life. So after we had finished opening our hearts to my father, he sat with a solemn look upon his face. When at last he spoke he simply said that he gave us his blessing. Only with the punishment of Over Lord Loquist’s laws, he knew that a war would break out. So from that day forth we all, my father included, plotted the escape. We lived our daily lives as if nothing were the different. We planned the blessed day of our wedding as if it were to actually happen. Only, under the cover of darkness we were getting ready for the escape.

So on our wedding date, Chase was my best man and Ameril was Jane’s matron of honor. We had planned this all out. The wedding was not to take place in either of the castles it was to take place out in the glen near the forest. We had, for a years time, dug a tunnel leading from the alter to a safe place well past ear and eye range, where two of my fathers best horses were in wait for our escape. Under a flash of light and some well-placed smoking torches we were able make it appear as if an evil source from a place or time unknown had simply made us vanished in a puff of smoke. Only we had dropped through a trap door built into the alter and started our run for freedom. To all that looked on from the audience it was all done in a flash.

We crawled in that long tunnel laughing all the way as we were giddy with excitement at being free. The four of us reached the last turn in the tunnel and sprinted to freedom. As the last of us burst from the hole in the ground 6 of Loquist guards immediately captured us. It was a bloody battle; we fought with everything we had which was only our bare hands. We were victorious, we had slain the guards. Our horses had been killed; we would have to make it on foot.  Chase and myself were not harmed, however Jane was hurt badly, and Ameril had been dismembered. By the time that we crawled to Jane it was to late. She had gasped her last breath she was to breath on this earth. It was over. My heart was breaking but in the distance we could hear more of the horrid kings guards coming. With no other choice we left our beloved friends and ran as fast as we could into the forest.

The guards were catching up and we were getting weaker and weaker by the step. Just as we had run out of strength and was about to collapse, we happened to come across a strange house. We had no idea who dwelled in the house but we needed a place to hide. So we broke in only to find that woodland fairies inhabited the house. They knew our situation and were willing to help. They asked what we would need to escape the gaining guards. We told them a grand stallion was in order if they could bestow upon us the greatest and strongest horse, we would be forever in debt to them. They said simply to go back out and mount the greatest stallion to live. I turned immediately to leave and was awe struck at the most beautiful stallion I have ever laid my eyes on. He was jet black with blond running through his mane and tail. Tall and masculine, with eyes that if you looked into them you would have sworn they were human. I turned to show Chase but he was gone. I was puzzled as to his disappearance and I asked the fairies where had he gone? They said that he is outside waiting. I was again heart broken as I realized that they had turned my soul mate into the stallion that I was to ride out on. With a heavy heart I thanked the fairies and Chase and I rode off immediately putting great distance between the guards and us.

Chase and I rode for what must have been months. We just keep going, trying to put as much distance between my birthplace and us. At every village and port we visited we would hear of our story and that Loquist guards were still out there looking for us to bring us to justice. So we never settled into a town. As long as I had Chase I had no need for companionship. We traveled for years enjoying the freedom we fought for.

Chase developed a cough and finally succumbed to his death. I removed Chase’s tail and now wear it as a constant reminder that without him to carry me I knew for sure that the evil king would catch me. I changed my name to Deacon, and wandered into a town called Bristol and there found a rather nice group of rogues and wenches all living peacefully under the clan of Dracmor. I started a new life for myself and met a man I believe to be Chase reincarnated. His name is Bob this time around. As I believe, all soul mates find each other for each life we live. I knew that if anyone would protect me it would be this clan. And so that is where my saga ends for now. Living happily and peacefully in Bristol, with my new found family. But I’m always looking over my shoulder; I’m never sure who is coming up behind me
