ARTICLES

I would like to post a monthly article here written by our members and friends. I am hoping that this will encourage clan members to be a little more active. The articles can be anything related to renaissance, or faires, period or fantasy. It can be interviews, opinions, arguments, even short stories. You can praise a store, or an item of clothing you purchased, you can even advertise for a store. All I ask is that it be at least 100 words, if I deem it long enough I may break it into two or more months. All articles will be archived for at least a year, and you will get full credit. If enough articles are submitted by enough people I will see about a prize for the best article at the end of the year.

To submit an article send it to Kattosha@hotmail.com, or if it's too big then drop me a note in my email and I will contact you about a file transfer.

Well faire season is here and it is now the second weekend into Bristol. I have seen the Bungee jump that so many have complained about and I think they did a very good job 'blending' it in with the rest of the fair. They have set it up as ships masts which I think is quite ingenious. Yes they could hide the trampolines better, but did anyone of the many complainers actually give them any suggestions on how to do that? I'm sure they didn't want to spend more than necessary on something they weren't sure was going to pull in money. If this is a money maker this year, I am sure we will see a better disguise next year.

Now the new pub, although it looks neat, does seem out of place. A large permanent structure smack dab in the middle. And its not even a major building, it is merely a pub, but perhaps this a sign of things to come and Bristol one day might match the magnificent architecture that graces the Texas faire.
